The Amazon Church

  • The church is growing steadily, albeit there is much need for solid foundational teaching among new believers.

  • 90% of the indigenous pastors in the region have no formal training.

  • The vast majority of indigenous villages outside the city are unreached with the gospel.

  • Most Christians of the indigenous villages have no Bible.

  • Social problems include poverty, poor health, dysfunctional families, chemical addictions, and general immorality. 

  • There are approximately 3,000 indigenous villages in the upper Amazon with a population of 500,000+ people.
